How do I keep my golf gloves in good shape after a round?
I've noticed that I get much more life out of my golf gloves in the winter time, when I don't sweat and play in the rain as much. Now that summer is upon us, I'm wondering if there is some way to wash/clean off my gloves after a round in hopes to keep them from getting hard and crusty. Maybe I need to keep them in a more stable temperature environment as well.
Let me know if you have any ideas/secrets on how to get the most out of my gloves. I use a cabretta leather glove with stretchy fabric around the knuckles.
Thanks....
You really need to have at least 3 gloves, and keep them all dry. When you feel one getting wet, replace it with a dry one.
Hang the wet one on the side of your bag to dry, or strap it to the windshield bar on the golf cart. This will keep the wet ones to dry. Take the glove off after you hit the ball. This will also help keep it dry.
I learned this by playing in the heat and humidity of Alabama summers. This should increase your glove 10 fold. When the leather, or fake leather gets wet it will wear a lot quicker. The key is to keep them dry at all times.
You may have to buy 3 gloves, but in the long run you will save money.
