Which is a better job in the royal navy, jet or helicopter pilot?
I know for a fact that I would like to join the royal navy when I'm older.
I am quite smart, and my parents want me to, so I would go to university after high
school and study whatever would seem most useful based on my decision as well as joining one of the RAF or Naval training clubs (can't remember what they're called, sorry)
I was thinking about becoming an aircrew officer pilot, when I looked at the information about it, it states about having a choice of which pilot role I would wish to pursue.
But I can't decide between becoming a jet or helicopter pilot, I know this sounds like a stupid question, but is there any option of being able to do both, such as if you paid for another pilot course before starting the royal navy training??
Otherwise, which is better?? If it was that competitive I would try to do significant things to stand out (such as extra training and cadets).

Until the Joint Strike Fighter arrives, flying in the Royal Navy is limited to Helicopters: Sea King. Lynx and Merlin. All the Sea Harriers have been scrapped.
