Charcoal-black God and a blue orb on his palm?
I'm an atheist. I dreamt of charcoal-black silhouette of a man with blue orb on his palm and it was burning with blue flame also. A tall winged creature(man?) next to him pointed it's sword at me and called me by my name. Charcoal-black God Iooked at me. I woke up confused. few weeks later i dreamt of same orb lying on my desk, not burning anymore. No drugs, no medication, nearly no alcohol on my end. Got some stress in my life but it's relationship-related. Somehow I just knew I dreamt of the one who's presence i've denied all my life. Bizarre. Has anyone got ANY ideas what could it mean?
I don't think that any one of us can actually answer this question, but we can help you figure it out. KiKiDee, while she may have meant well, I do not think it is right for someone who claims to be a paranormal buff to quickly make an assumption and say it's the devil. Not everyone believes in a devil and not everyone beliefs in the Christian/catholic's point of view when it comes to life after death or God.
While they see God as a vengeful being who doesn't care for his children unless they are crawling through glass asking for continuous forgiveness, the rest of the world thinks of god as a better being that doesn't need us to ask for forgiveness but to be more like him for our own good and the good of all.
To help you, I need you to close your eyes and think back to the dream. Think of everything you saw, relive it and remember what you felt as well. You're feelins will also give you a clue into this. Many people don't know that sometimes we don't have the abilities to see faces in your dreams so we must use our sense of feeling (clairsentient abilities) to know who is there with us. Did you feel you were in danger? Did you have feelings of security, tranquility? Once you have figured out what you were feeling, you will get a clue towards that.
Blue orb (and flame)...
truth, inspiration, wisdom, occult power, protection, understanding, good health, happiness, peace, tranquility, fidelity, devotion, harmony in the home, patience, healing and health and emotions are some of the meanings to the color blue. When you said there was a dark time, could that have been you holding on to hope? Could that have been a relative that passed on offering you the light, telling you that everything will be okay and you will be helped if you simple ask for it.
Could it be a symbol of comming peace from your stressful times. Angels are uusally shown as having wings because wings are a symbol of being above time and space. They can be anywhere and everywhere at once. If this other being could of been an angel letting you know that he is there if you need him for anything and that even if you do not ask for help, this being will still help you.
The color is very healing, blue the color of inspiration for you to surpass all of your problems, or of tranquility so that you can then relax and clear your mind to see the easiest solution.
As I said before, it could be a symbol of you holding on to hope, but could that also mean that you're barely holding on to it? That it is close to being extinguished and could the winged being provide the sword to sever any cords that do not serve your highest good? Maybe if this relationship has been unhealthy, it is time for you to just put it to rest and move on.

You said "some alcahol" so perhaps you should think of putting that down and thinking on your own without anything like that. Drinking won't bring about good change. It only hurts you and those around you.
