harley davidson golf cart?
i have a pretty old harley davison golf cart. it seems to run fine for a while then it will just quit. it gets pretty hot and we think it might be something in the coil. any ideas?
You need to determine if it's an ignition issue or a fuel issue. Simple things to do include remove any old gasoline and replace with fresh. When it starts to die (but is still running) squirt a little starting fluid into the carb, (very little) and see if it continues to run for a bit. If so, it's a fuel problem, if not, it's probably electricalignition. It could also be a type of vapor lock, if it's getting too hot the fuel could be vaporizing, preventing fuel flow.
