Do you believe the developed and developing worlds can forge an agreement on climate change?
Secretary-general of the UN, Ban Ki-moon, says
“We must keep climate change at the top of national agendas.” But a successful outcome in developing a treaty this year depends on a settlement between the developed and developing world. Can Obama and other world leaders bridge the gap and help draft a viable treaty to address GCC by the end of the year?

Sure, developing nations contribute roughly 50% to the problem now and developing nations are growing faster so they will contribute the majority of the climate change factors in the future. It's in their best interest to save themselves, so they should back off of their counterproductive effort and unproductive strategy to ask developed nations to fund their emission cuts or low emission infrastructure development. They'll probably need to implement growth controls. As soon as developing nations stop trying to pass the buck they can get down to business and save themselves.
NASA's Dr. James Hansen has some productive suggestions on the technology and infrastructure development needed to work towards a more secure future, and halting the construction of coal power plants is near the top of the list.
We'll know that any nation is serious about working on this problem when they stop building coal plants (China and India are building 500+, so don't hold your breath waiting for global warming to stop any time in the next 50+ years that those plants are in operation).
