Going to play short stop in a slow pitch softball league. What size gloves do you guys use?
In college ball I used an 11 3/4" for third base. Regardless, I need to use a smaller sized glove. What works best for all you shortstops out there in softball leagues?
Dude dont believe all this BS that you need a bigger glove bla bla bla stuff...just because its Softball doesnt mean u have to use a huge @ss glove in the infield. Ive played slow pitch for 7yrs (all infield positions, currently SS for 4yrs) and ive used between 11 3/4 and 11 1/2. After a few poundings in your glove the leather stretches to fit the softball and it works fine. My 3rd baseman currently uses 11 1/2 it looks tiny...but when you are in the infield you need a lighter/quicker glove because the time you have to react is much less than a normal size baseball diamond, the dimensions are much smaller so you have to be quicker.
