the cabretta leather is wearing on the grip.
Yes gloves do not last that long. A lot of gloves can't play without one but if you can get used to not having one it will save you money. The purpose of the leather golf gloves was to keep the leather golf grips from slipping. Leather on Leather would not slip. Since the grips have changed it is more a mental or comfort to use one.
Tips to help your glove
Check you grip - you may be holding it to tight - that would cause movement resulting in friction on the glove.
Make sure the grip cap is a little past your hand so it want rub a hole in the palm of the glove.
