What are the best long distance golf clubs?
I know a lot depends on the player but what brands and what type of irons and drivers specialize in distance because i am looking for that bit more?
Honestly, you hit the nail on the head with your first phrase. It completely depends on you. If you asked me this when I was 12 years old, I would have told you with confidence that the Callaway Big Bertha is by far the best driver for distance. However, answers like this are not the case anymore because all clubs are so similar that it really does come down to a matter of preference.
I love my Titleist 907 D2 with a passion and I hit it further than the older technology before it, and the newer technology after it. Of course when I say hit it further, I mean I hit it about 5-7 yards further than other drivers because clubs are so similar. I don't hit it further because it's better technology, I hit it further because the shaft is perfect for me and i just love the look of this driver which allows me to put all my confidence in it.
Best advice dude, find out the next demo day at a near by golf course and try out 20 different drivers and see what suits you. Find out which feels the best upon impact and which is the most pleasing to your eyes.
I'd love to tell you one driver hits 20 yards further than the other, but that's not the case. The same applies with Irons. If you aren't happy with that answer, then go out and buy Callaway X-18 pro series and a titleist 907 D2 driver. Why? No reason other than the fact that I hit them
