Golf TDI in USA - Good idea?
Hi all,
I'm a first-time car buyer and one of the cars that I've been looking at is the VW Golf TDI. It looks like it gets excellent mileage (amongst other things) but I am worried because it runs on diesel. Is it safe to have a diesel in Northeast USA? What I mean to say is that I don't see many diesel vehicles around besides trucks, and from what I've heard, there aren't many places to fill up a diesel in the Northeast. Is this just a myth? I'm just worried that I'm going to end up not finding anywhere to refuel, and I don't want to risk figuring that out after I buy the car.

you are thinking of buying one of the worlds best small diesels,, The VW will make you smile everytime you drive it,, the guy who said there are few places to buy diesel fuel is talking through his hat ! Where do all the big trucks buy their fuel ? With a diesel, never let it run out of fuel, always have the engine filters changed at the correct time, engine oil filter, fuel filter,air filter. This car is an excellent choice, good luck
