Golf Driver Question Loft and Kick Point?
I have always played a low lofted driver (8.5*) with a low kick point shaft for high launch (Grafalloy prolaunch). I am thinking about reversing this to see if I can gain more distance by carry and roll. I am thinking of going with a 12* driver with a High kick point Shaft, has anyone tried this and if so do you think it will work, is it a good idea?? I could maybe go with 10.5 instead but have heard good things from this combination. My swing speed is around 95
10.5 degree driver with a high kickpoint...or a 9.5 degree with a mid kickpoint...get rid of the idea of an 11-12 degree driver. A very nice mid shaft is Grafalloy Pro Platinum, Aldila DVS, or a Mitsubishi Bassera. As far as a high kick shaft...Grafalloy EPIC, VooDoo, Mitsubishi Blue Board...big boy shafts...even in regular flex. I prefer the mid kickpoint shafts, and was trying to accomplish the same thing.
