Nintendo Wii Is Fabulous Fun For Everyone

We here at the Wii Showroom have researched the pros and cons of owning a Wii. I will start off by first stating why you should maybe NOT buy a Wii Console (i.e. the bad). Hmmm...Hmmm...Hmmm...I'm thinking....Hmmm...I'm happy to say that we could not find any cons worth mentioning.

With no cons worth mentioning there must surely be loads and loads of pros for us loving the Wii as much as we do, so let me start explaining our reasons for feeling so strongly in favour of the Wii. NINTENDO WII IS FOR EVERYONE - irrespective of whether you are a hard core 35 year old gamer still living in your old lady's basement because of your gaming obsession or if you are a grandpa who is as scared of anything remotely technology related like someone who is allergic to bee's, and every time you see a console you go running as if it is the mother of all bee hives. The Wii has such a diverse collection of games and is so easy, interactive and fun to play with its intuitive motion controls that everyone in the family, whether it be the hard core gamer nephew or gramps, will enjoy some or other aspect of it.

Wii Games are great fun to play either one up, with some friends or just watching grandpa showing off his boxing moves. As long as Gramps can still throw a few punches he will be able to show you some of his combinations. No need for previous gaming experience - except of course grandpa's boxing skills. The point I’m trying to make is that the magnificent Wii gaming console delivers a fun social activity for the whole family and must surely be the only gaming console that can bridge generation gaps so easily because of its user friendliness. If you don't enjoy it you probably also don't like puppies, ice cream or having fun - in which case you’re a lost cause anyways, so sorry, nothing (not even 1000 free Wii games) or no-one will be able to help your grumpy ass (excuse my french, but some folks just don't get it).

Lets just quickly run through a few Wii Games so that you can have some idea of what to expect. I will try to keep it brief so as not to bore you with too many details, but at the same time still try to give you a better understanding as to why wii (and by wii I mean we...get it… wii we wii we wii we, sorry getting a bit carried away with a lame cheesy joke hey?).....why we feel so strongly that the Wii is truly a gaming console that can be enjoyed by everyone.

The Wii Games collection covers just about any type of game you can think of. From sport games (including almost any type of sport you can think of) to adventure games like the legendary Mario Bros. There is definitely a game available for everyone in the Wii collection and too many to mention here (please refer to the Wii Showroom game pages after reading this article to check out some of the best games available). In Super Mario Galaxy 2 (my favourite game) you will experience a gravity defying adventure as you battle for the princess's freedom while travelling from one galaxy to the next in this absolutely awesome game. This one though is probably not for grandpa or anyone who is a bit weary of technology - they will however enjoy watching someone play as the graphics are beautiful and the soundtrack delightful. There is also a great variety of other Mario games available ranging from Mario Party to Super Mario Bros.

Everybody has a favourite song right? If that's indeed true, then the next family get together does not necessarily have to be boring, as long as you have Wii Guitar Hero 5. You can have family members singing their own rock songs or you can do some family bonding and jam together as a band depending on how many instrument controllers you have purchased. Uncle John can have everyone in stitches when he sings his favourite and ridiculously funny Bob Dylan song. Please just note that neither Nintendo nor the Wii Showroom can be held liable for the type of sounds coming from Aunty Ann's mouth which probably sound more like the mating calls of a female Wallrus than that of a rock band. Handing the microphone to every Tom, Dick and Harry is entirely at your own risk. Good times are however a guarantee with this get the party started game!

The other game that defintely needs to be brought to your attention because it's so different is Wii Fit. Yes I know, how can fitness be fun and what does gaming and exercise have to do with each other anyways? Somehow though, playing a fitness simulation type game changes everything. From Yoga to skateboarding and aerobics to rhythm kung fu, before you know it you will be on the balance board doing all sorts of fun and crazy moves. Before you know it you heart rate would have increased and you'll be working up a bit off a sweat and Mr.Couch Potatoe will become Mr.Muscle, well maybe not that drastic, but you get the point. Although there are a couple of tougher exercise programs available, you probably won't be the Aerobics King or Queen at the gym, but at least you'll be off the couch doing some form of exercise while you’re having fun....yes you read correctly....exercise while you’re having fun. Impossible? Just give it a shot, you have nothing to loose or do you (LOL).

Another factor that not everyone always considers when it comes to gaming, but is very important to me personally is time limitation. In todays hectic world we hardly have time for ourselves let alone enough time to learn the ins and outs of a complicated game. Most of us just don't have the time to become total game fanatics. With work, family responsibilities, studying, functions, exercising because we have to (health), doing groceries, shopping, rushing here and there etc. etc. etc.....most of us average Joe's want to kick back and have fun with our gaming consoles without getting too serious about it, hell we already have enough serious in our lives. Nintendo Wii Games provides all of that with the added bonus of being able to provide an awesome interactive social experience. But don't let this give you any false impressions of the Wii Console. It just makes provision for people with different gaming experience and can also provide for the more hard core gamer. That probably makes the Wii the best all round gaming console available on the market today.

Irrespective of what other gaming console fans say, The Nintendo Wii is still the most user friendly gaming option around for the avergae man in the street. Then is one more small matter that proves it's not just us who thinks the Wii is awesome.....Nintendo Wii is the fastest selling gaming console of all time. These are the facts and as they say the proof is in the pudding. Surely more than 75 million people (number of Wii console sold) from around the globe can't be wrong. It's of course entirely up to you whether you want to become one of the millions of people who's experienced this awesome gaming console. Nintendo Wii is truly for you, and me, and everyone out there who wants to enjoy gaming.. So what's holding you back?
