Even though many people choose to buy an LCD TV because they are aware of the superior picture quality and likely longer life of these types of televisions, they often fail to find the right spot for them in the house to allow them to make the most of the enhanced viewing experience.
Modern LCD TVs are amazingly flat and space-efficient, but often people don't consider the potential these ultra-slim designs could bring for saving space all round.
Fixing an LCD TV to a wall is one of the most popular ways of putting one on display, as well as being relatively straightforward for someone with little DIY experience. But while this will allow the amazingly bright and clear pictures to be viewed from a long distance and many different angles, it doesn't make the most of the potential for its pictures to be viewed from all parts of a room.

And who relishes the task of getting down on all fours to clean behind and under an elaborate and bulky TV stand? Very few people, no doubt. But when an LCD television is securely fixed on a supporting arm which can fold neatly against the wall when it is not in use, it means the end of that awkward household chore.
As flat-screen LCD TVs and their near cousins, the plasma and LED models, now have all the functions of a digital set-top box and a DVD player included in their slim frames, there's no longer any need to go to the trouble of buying an extra piece of furniture, in the shape of a stand to place them on, or to worry about whether it should co-ordinate with the rest of your living room furniture.
It's even possible to take out all the manual effort of adjusting your TV stand by buying one of the latest and most sophisticated models, which tilt and turn with the help of hydraulic or electric power. These might be expensive options, but whether you consider it worthwhile depends on how much you love your new LCD TV, and how heavily it will be used.
Anyone buying a top-of-the-range LG LCD TV or indeed an LED TV should take the time to do some research to find the best possible model, and the same goes for buying a stand on which to place the new TV.
