does anyone know how to run the "two ball infield" warm-up drill?
had a coach who used to run the "two ball infield" warm up drill. it was an awesome drill that when done correctly would be very impressive and often an intimidating sight for opposing teams.
yes. You have lets say 6 or 8 players in a circle. One person starts with two balls in his hands and throws to the people on his left and right. The object of the game is that you cannot throw to the people next to you unless your down to the final three/four people or on a serve. Once the game gets down to two people, two balls are thrown at the same time. When catching an incoming ball the player recieving it must catch with one hand and switch to their opposite before throwing to another player. If a ball is dropped on a serve it is repeated and no one suffers an out. Once a player has three outs (we used to just turn our hats backwards=2 outs to the side=1 out) they are out of the game. It gets intense as you probably know...hope this helps.
