WINDSHIELD WONDER: A Review
I am a clean glass freak, especially with my car windows. There’s nothing more aggravating than to get in your car, think it’s a foggy day outside, and then instead discover that it’s really the haze on the inside of your windshield.
THE TOOL
You know how you have to become a contortionist to clean your front and rear auto glass? Well, the WINDSHIELD WONDER looks like it’s a great solution to the problem. It really is an ingenious device for reaching the hard to get to angle of where the windshield meets the dashboard or the rear window meets the rear deck. The tool is a swiveling pad on the end of a curved 16 inch handle. A fitted microfiber cloth bonnet is placed on the WINDSHIELD WONDER’S pad and there you have it. No more reaching for the hard to get to areas on your front and rear auto glass.
CLEANING YOUR GLASS
Just looking at the demo on the AS SEEN ON TV ad makes me think I want one. Although the WINDSHIELD WONDER is a great idea, I really don’t like the idea of using just plain water as they suggest to clean the haze off the windows. In my experience, water does tend to leave streaks no matter what type of cloth you are using. So, the old boy’s suggestion is that if you buy the WINDSHIELD WONDER, maybe you should try using it with your favorite window cleaner instead of just plain water if streaking is a problem. You probably should rinse and wring out the bonnet after each use regardless of what you use.
ORDERING
The ordering section for this product is straightforward. It’s a “buy one, get one” offer. You pay $10. plus $6.99 shipping for the first one, and then the shipping charge of $6.99 for the second one. Each tool comes with two fitted microfiber bonnets. They also throw in a 12 inch microfiber towel, water spray bottle and storage bag for each one ordered. So, basically, you’ve got $12. invested in a tool that makes cleaning your cars inside windows easier. Is the WINDSHIELD WONDER worth the expense? Depends on how clean you like your windows and how often you clean them. If you’ve got a few years on you, and aren’t as limber as you used to be (like me), it may well be worth it!
