Golf Grips! Which ones are right and what is the difference between polymer and cord (or whatever material)?
I was thinking that new grips would be a big improvement over my standard rubber callaway grips. What does one look for in grips and by what criteria does one choose grips. I have heard of WINN grips and GOLF PRIDE grips and I know both are good and modern. What does a grip help a golfer do and how should I choose a good one that will last a while? (throw me some good brands if you have any others and tell me some models and their qualities)
P.S. what about putter grips and driver/wood grips if there is a difference between these and iron grips
callaway does have very poor factory grips. putter grips are different from wood/iron grips. the cord style grips are better in cold weather, but require rough skin texture . the smoother non cord grips are for softer skin texture. the only way to find out is to slip into major golf shop. you will know the right feel you want by using demo grips. defiantly loose the callaway grips. this is a great time to re grip. retailers have great winter discounts on complete re grip for full sets. best of luck. different sizes also available, repair shop will make sure grips are right size for your hands , grip style.
