I have wood paneling in my home and would like to cover it, what would I use?
I want to cover the existing wood paneling with something easy and not too expensive. I don't want to tear down the paneling either, but I don't know what would stick to the paneling.
Painting is an option but I don't want it to look like painted wood. I was thinking of filling in the seams and then putting tissue paper and glue/paint - putting it on the wall - so it looked like texture on the wall. My mother-in-law did this and it looks great. The difference is she has drywall.
We had a wood paneled den. I filled all of the cracks and grooves with dry wall mud (a very thin coat) sanded it down and the primed it with Kiltz. We opted for wall paper but it just as easily have been painted or anything else.
